If you receive an item that is damaged then please contact us within 14 days of receipt at vintagebulbsuk@gmail.com Helpful Information E27 UK SOCKET ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Socket Components #1, Outer brass body #2, Outer brass top #3, Inner Terminal #4, Inner Bakelite sleeve Align the recesses of the Inner terminal block with the dimples of the Outer brass top. Seat the Inner terminal block into the Outer brass top, ensuring that the earth connection sits inside the dimple of the Outer brass top. Slide the Bakelite sleeve into the Outer brass body, ensuring that the sleeve sits fully into the Outer brass body. Screw the assembled Brass outer sleeve onto the assembled Brass top.Take care not to cross thread when screwing the two components together, as these threads are very fine. This socket features a safety locking mechanism that prevents the brass outer sleeve from unscrewing from the brass top. If there is a need to dismantle the socket, the locking tooth will need to be carefully bent in with a terminal screwdriver, freeing up the bakelite sleeve, allowing socket to dissasemble. On occation, the locking tooth prevents the two components (the brass top, and brass sleeve) screwing together fully. In this instance, the safety locking tooth may need to be bent in slightly before assembley, to prevent this from happening.
