Fantastic!
Bulb arrived quickly and safely. The shipping box seemed a little wasteful (greatly oversized) but the inner box was very protected. Bulb looks exactly as depicted.
I live in a high grid voltage area so the bulb draws more than 50 watts (around 50) which means colour temperature and brightness is slightly higher than advertised for me. I'm not sure what effect this will have on the lifespan of the bulb, but I have a dimmer on the way so I can turn it down (as I don't need the full advertised output, let alone the extra 10 watts). Either way, the light is still pleasant and the large filament allows the exposed bulb to be viewed without much glare.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the large globe, tall suspension structure and (relatively) low power means that neither the bulb's base nor surface get particularly hot. I ran the bulb for 30 minutes in a base-down open fitting and found that it was not too hot to touch anywhere on the surface. I would be comfortable using this for short periods even in a plastic fitting so long as there is plenty of airflow.
I'd love to have an efficient LED bulb with the same aesthetics and colour quality, but because most affordable white LEDs can't produce deep reds, they tend to just look orange at colour temperatures around 2000k. This is a great and arguably more stylish alternative for light usage (pun intended).
Overall, I would recommend this product. I look forward to shopping here again.
